Chances are the spray will take your breath away and even leave you soaking wet if you go to close. Near the parking areas, you can also visit the Krimmls Worlds of Water, an interactive and fun water experience for kids and families. Located in the town of Triberg the waterfalls are one of the most beautiful in the Black Forest and are visited by many people both tourists and locals alike. After wandering the town and taking in all of the beautiful scenery a visit to the waterfalls are a must. You can make your way walking through the town or you can drive there and make the short walk to the waterfalls from the car park.
You can hear the rushing of the water well before you get there. The first section is accessible from walking platforms that get you very close to the falls. There are plenty of places to stop and take the perfect picture before waking through the forest up to the higher viewing platforms giving you views from above and below the falls.
After you have had enough time at the falls and in the beautiful forest that surrounds it, have a look for the hungry little squirrels that calls the Triberg waterfalls home.

Located in the Triglav National Park in Slovenia, Pericnik waterfall definitely deserves some recognition. Its clear blue waters rush from the mountains of the Mojstrana region and fall into the pristine river Triglavska Bistrica that then winds amidst the pine trees.
Divided into two levels, Pericnik is one of the highest waterfalls in the country. It marks the beginning of one of the loveliest Triglav National Park hiking trails , which leads to the Vrata Valley.
Finding the waterfall is an easy task. A short walk from there leads to the first level of the Slap. The hike up takes about 15 minutes in a slow tempo. It is not complex and only requires comfortable shoes. A small flat rock marks the end of the first part of the climb and allows to take some truly epic pictures. The second part of the walk is a bit more challenging, with some steep steps closer to the top.
It will take about ten minutes to climb up. The second level of Perichnik is much cozier, opening to some breathtaking panoramas of the mountains. Plus, the most curious hikers can also climb into a small cave behind the waterfall. For these purposes, taking a raincoat would be a good idea. It is highly recommended to then continue the hike to the Vrata Valley, but many travellers also choose to stay by the waterfall for a picnic by the river.
The stunning waterfalls at Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia are approximately a 3-hour drive north and inland of the famous city of Split. Several bus tours operate day trips from Split to Plitvice Lakes but to ensure plenty of free time to explore the park, hire a car and stay overnight nearby. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a very popular tourist destination all year round and in summer, boardwalks at key sites in the park, particularly around the photogenic Lower Lakes, get very busy.
